Summary: *avoids like the bubonic plague* This is a sequel the KoKame half of Rescue me, so you may want to read that one first...so you can understand this one better.
For the first time, in what seemed like ages, Koki was finally able to get a peaceful night’s sleep...at least where his illness was concerned anyway. The same, however, could not be said for his lover, who happened be tossing and turning in his sleep trying to wake up from, in his opinion, a VERY bad nightmare.
“ No...don’t...stop...Miroku..leave him alone....KOKI!!” He woke in a panic, drenched in a cold sweat and shaking violently.
“ Kazu..what’s wrong? Why are you shaking?” he had accidentally woke Koki up
“ Its..n..nothing, Koki, just go back to sleep.” Kame said
“ No, something’s the matter. Now tell me what it is.” Koki urged, knowing full well that Kame was keeping something from him.
“I am just going for a walk, I am sorry that I woke you.” He said as he got up and walked out of their tent, Koki, on the other hand, wasn’t going to let it go so easily. Annoyed and concerned, Koki got up and taking a blanket with him, followed his partner out of the tent and into the night. After about ten minutes of walking Koki finally found Kame sitting by the hot spring...crying.
“ You know me better than that, Kame. Now, tell me what’s bothering you to the point where you’re crying.” He said as he sat down and pulled Kame closer, wiping away the last of kame’s tears.
“ I dreamt that Miroku had kidnapped me and locked me in a cage. You didn’t know where I was and I couldn’t get away. He kept having his way with me, despite my best efforts to push him away. You finally find us and then you and him have a confrontation...it gets violent. He pulls out a gun and points in your direction. I wasn’t able to do anything but plead with him not to kill you, I don’t know if he did or not since I woke up, just after hearing the gun go off as you guys started wrestling over the gun, screaming your name. I was so scared, koki, I didn’t know what to do.” Kame said into Koki’s neck as he felt koki’s embrace tighten.
“ I am afraid, I mean really afraid now...what if this nightmare turns into reality? I can’t lose you Koki...I just can’t.”
“ Shh...Kame, its alright. Everything is going to be okay again I just know it will. I’m right here and I am not planning on dying any time soon. I know you’re scared, baby, and I will do everything in my power to protect you from him. I think I will have a talk with Johnny when we get back about suspending my work for the next two weeks while you finish filming your drama. If there comes a day when I can’t be there, I will have someone there in my place whom you can trust, okay?”
“Koki...” there went his voice again...damn thing.
“ I told you once before that I will be damned if he’s going to take you from me against your will and if I have to play my father’s card, then so be it. If by protecting you means that I have to do that which I’d rather not, then its a choice I’m willing to make. I don’t care if it sends me to the very bowels of hell itself as long as I take him with me. You are mine, Kazuya Kamenashi, and he will never be allowed such a claim as long as you still have feelings for me and choose to stay with me.” He said looking Kame in the eyes. Kame could see the seriousness in Koki’s eyes and hear it in his words.
“ I pray it doesn’t come to that, my King. I am so glad you’re with me and I with you, my love. I love to be your property, it makes me feel safe and complete.” He said looking at koki and they both could feel the love between them burn through every nerve cell in their bodies like a wild fire.
“ Feel better now, Angel?” Koki asked has he kissed the top of Kame’s head
“ Yeah, loads better...thank you, my King.”
“ What for?” Koki asked a little confused
“ For putting so much on the line for me...for us..I love you so much.”
“ I will do anything for you without question, you know that. I love you too. Now, shall we head back to the tent and get some sleep since we have to get up and go floating in a few hours.” Koki said as he stood up and held out his hand for Kame.
“ Yeah, I guess we should.” Kame answered, taking Koki’s proffered hand and stood up. As he stood up he pulled Koki close and hugged him, never wanting to let go. After a bit, they broke apart and made their way back to their tents and soon they fell asleep in each others arms and both had nothing but peaceful dreams for the rest of the night.
“Koki” Kame whispered in his lover’s ear, but there was no response. So, he tried shaking him...still nothing. It was time for them to get up and head out for their floating trip and Kame really needed for Koki to get up so they can get going but after last night’s event, Kame couldn’t blame him for being tired. But Kame really wanted to experience this with Koki and he had to find away to get him to wake up...in short of hitting him since he didn’t have a pillow soft enough. Then a light bulb went off in his head and he thought about what had calmed him down in the car Friday morning and he thought if it could calm his nerves like that, then why can’t it be used to wake his sleeping King up. He slipped his hand under the sleeping bag and Koki’s boxers and started to gently rub his cock and it didn’t take long before he heard a soft moan escape Koki’s lips, even though he was still asleep. That was all the invitation Kame needed to duck under and wrap his mouth around Koki’s length. He started sucking and licking as Koki started moaning and groaning in his sleep. Kame increased his speed and it was only a matter of minutes before Koki was fully awake and registered what was being done to him.

Panting, Koki said “ Morning, Angel. Was there another reason for the morning quickie or were you just horny?”
“ We’re going floating after breakfast and I didn’t want us to miss it, and I was repaying the favor from the car ride down here the other day.”
“ Really? Those are the ONLY reasons?” Koki raised his eye brow in kame’s direction
“ Oh alright...I was horny as well..” he said as he crawled closer to Koki
“ Well why didn’t you just say so...since we have time before the others are wake...” he said as he ran a finger along Kame’s neck and pulled him down and turned them so that he was on top and proceeded to give Kame more than a morning quickie. Soon, they fell back into a light sleep waiting for the others to get up. After another hour or so everyone was awake and eating break fast. After the breakfast was cleared away and cleaned so as not to attract the local wildlife, they head for the place where the canoes were waiting. After pushing the boats into the water they all set off at comfortable pace down the river.
“ Isn’t this great Koki?!” Kame said happily from the front of their boat looking in awe of the scenery around him.
“ It sure is Kazuya” Koki replied, grinning.
“What kinda bird is that?”
“ It’s called a Green-backed heron.”
“Awesome” Kame said as he took its picture.
He wound up by using two rolls of film just on the animals and scenery. He even took pictures of the trees and their leaves which were changing colors in accordance with the season. After about four hours of rowing they we’re all getting hungry, so they stopped at their rest spot to eat lunch and to rest their muscles. Since Kame and Koki were done eating before the others were they decided to go for a short walk. Koki was unusually silent the whole time and it was starting to make Kame nervous...
“ Hey, baby? What’s the matter?”
“ Oh its nothing, really. Its just that I can’t figure out how Miroku knows so much about me and my illness, Kame. And how he seems to know just how important you are to me staying sane and that you’re everything to me, the sole reason as to why my heart still beats.”
“What are you saying?”
“ I am saying it seems that he has a two-fold reason for the things he’s doing.”
“Which are...?”
“ A) He really does believe that he’s in love with you and if he can just get his hands on you and away from me long enough, that you’ll realize that you’re really in love with him instead of me. *they both pull a face and shudder at this* B) He is determined to destroy me for some unknown reason. He acts like I wronged him in more ways than just making sure you’re off the market, now what that could be I haven’t the slightest clue..and I wish I did.”
“ But I AM yours and I AM in love with you and he, not only scares the fuck out of me, he makes me sick to my stomach as well.”
“ I know that, you know that, our friends and boss know that...hell..damn near the whole of JE knows or suspects as much. But he doesn’t want to know or understand that.”
“ So, my King, what are we going to do?”
“ I am still not entirely sure, lets finish out Ueda’s little joke at work on Monday and see how he reacts and maybe we’ll have a clearer view on what to do.” Koki said as he hugged his Angel.
“If things get worse after Monday....then what?” Kazu asked.
“ Then I am in for one helluva fight that’s for sure. One that I doubt even Ueda or Johnny could even for see the outcome of. Mark my words, Angel, for as long as this body draws breath and this heart of mine still beats be it in this life or the next...he will NOT ever have you the way he wants and that’s a promise I stake my very soul on. I know it sounds more than a little possessive....”
Kame gives him a look....
“ Okay, ALOT possessive..but I love you far too much just to let you alone. But dammit it all anyway, your mine and I am yours and that’s the way its going to stay...whether that bastard likes it or not.”
“ I thought that’s what you meant. You can be possessive over me any time you want or need to, my King. After all, I am the same way when it comes to you since I have waited longer than you for us to be together and I can’t imagine my life without you. You are the best for me and the only one that fits up to my standards and what I look for in a partner.” Kame said as he hugged Koki and whispered in his ear.” Never me let go”
“I have no intention of letting you go, Kazuya. Now, lets head back the others should be done by now.” They get back to the river bank just as the others were getting ready to leave...
“ Oh look, the lost boys return!” Makoto said laughing
“ Oh shut up” Kokame said at the same time and as Kame climbed into the boat and Koki pushed it back into the water. Once everyone was settled they set off for the remainder of the trip down river. Kame was busy taking pictures of everyone and everything, only punctuated by the odd question of “what kind of animal is that” or “ What kind of plant was that” directed in either Koki’s or his brother’s direction. After about twenty minutes of rowing they were at the trips ending destination and they headed back to their campsite for dinner.
Back at the campsite:
“That was fun, wasn’t it Koki?” Kame asked koki at dinner
“ Sure was, we should do this again some time...just the two of us” Koki responded
“ I’d like that” Kame said before his attention was diverted by Makoto and the two starting talking about baseball. Kame was about to tell Makoto about the time he went to the game as one of his and Koki’s dates, when he felt a light tap on his shoulder turning he looked at Koki who said...
“ I am going for a walk, I am starting to feel funny and I don’t want it to show its self in front of everyone...”
“ Want me to come with...just in case...”
“ Its okay, I have to learn to find my way back on my own eventually. But could you come and check on me if I’m not back in twenty minutes?”
Kame, seeing how important this was to his lover just smiled and said, “ yeah sure”, and went back to his conversation. But Makoto had his reservations about what Kame just did.
“ Are you sure its okay to leave him by himself like that?”
“ Not really, but he’s right though. He has to learn to break through the darkness on his own or we’re never going to get him back to where he used to be. I’ll go and check on him if he’s not back when he said he was going to be.”
“ You know his condition and his actions better than I, I’m just worried that’s all.”
“ I know, Makoto, I am too. But this is something he has to do mostly on his own and he needs our support in this.”
“ I know you love him Kame and have for a very long time and don’t get me wrong I like Koki as well...but....”
“But...what?” Kame asked, not liking where this was going.
“ But wouldn’t be better for you and for him to leave him in the hands of those who are better equip to deal with something like this. I mean you can only do so much and with what Miroku’s doing....its only going to make him worse. I over heard Juri talking to their mom about what happened in his tent and from the sound of things..it took longer than usual to bring him around, Kame, I think what Koki needs is to be....”
Kame cut him off...anger now pulsing through his body. He looks his brother in the eyes...
“ So, you want me to turn my back on him? You want me to go back on the promise I made to him 8 months ago and have him committed?”
“ Its what he needs Kame and....”
“ Well, forget it! I am NOT doing that to him, he trusts me to help him and not to turn tail and run, which is what you’re telling me I should do. I am not his asshole of a father, I’m not just going to abandon Koki like that, he means way too much to me and for your information..brother...locking him away won’t make him better. In fact, it will only serve to make his situation, not to mention mine, worse seeing as how my voice and my touch is the only thing he responds to and registers when he relapses.” Kame stormed off to play catch with Juri.
Twenty minutes came and went and koki still hadn’t come back. Kame was just about to go look for him when a high pitched “ Kame! HELP!” rang through the trees. Turning quickly, they saw Chika running at top speed towards them.
“ Chika?! What’s wrong?”
“ Its Hana...and Koki....” she was rambling incoherently
“ Slow down and start from the beginning” it was Juri who spoke first.
“ Well, Hana and I were walking back to the tents after picking flowers for Mrs. Tanaka as a thank you gift. When we just happened upon Koki who was sitting against a tree, just staring and he had a dark look in his eyes. We didn’t know what was wrong with him and...Hana called her cousin’s name to try and get his attention, and I don’t know...its like he didn’t know who she was and I think he may have thought she was someone else. He turned, stood up and uttered something I couldn’t catch and started slowly walking towards us with a murderous look in his eyes, he lunged for Hana and I managed to push her out of the way....”
Kame cut her off....
“ where are they now?” he asked
“ I am not sure....the hot spring..maybe...”
That was all the answer Kame needed and headed off in the direction of their last known whereabouts, with his brother right behind him. As Chika had said that was where Kame and Makoto found Hana running from Koki while Koki was slowly walking behind her like how a deranged killer openly stalks his victim.
“ HANA!! Over here!” Makoto shouted and a very scared and relieved Hanna threw herself into his arms. While Kame made to go to Koki, to save him but he was stopped as Makoto put his hand on his shoulder.
“ Kame, what are you doing?”
“ Face it, I am the only one that can stop him. I am the only that is safe to be around him when he’s like this. He’s never hurt me when he’s in this state and I am going to prove you wrong as well.”
Kame shook himself from his brother’s grip and ran right into Koki and threw his arms around his waist and started whispering in his ear and then waited....and what Makoto saw was nothing short of amazing. He seen Koki slowly relax, his eyes started to clear and as his arms rose to embrace Kame, he hid his face in Kame’s neck and then Makoto realized that there was alot of truth to what Kame had told him. He didn’t know what he was going to say as he made his way over to them except....
“ I am sorry, Kame, it seems that you were right after all. But how did Chika know to come after you specifically when she could have called for anyone of us, since I am sure that she doesn’t know that you’re the only that can bring him around?” he asked.
“ That’s easy, I was the one that told her to run and get Kame specially”, It was Hana who spoke up, “ I was kinda eavesdropping on his and Juri’s conversation the other day and I heard the argument between you and Kamenashi-san. It looks you were right Makoto-san, Koki is too much for Chika to handle.”
“ I am sorry Hana...I didn’t mean to frighten you and thank you for getting Kame for me” Koki said regretfully.
“ Don’t worry about, dear cousin, you’re still my favorite. But there is one thing you have to do though since you did scare me half to death.”
“what’s that?”
“ Work really hard to get better real soon” she said as she hugged him and Koki just smiled.
“ I guess you want me to stay away from your brother now, huh?” Koki asked Makoto, uncertainty and fear were evident in his tone even though he tried to hide it.
“ After what I just saw...no offense but are you nuts? Kame’s not the first one to tell me that he’s the only one that can bring you back, its just that I didn’t really believe it until I had seen it for my very own eyes. Are you doing better now though, my brother?” He asked Koki
“ Yea...yeah..I am fine.” He said, taken aback at how Makoto addressed him.
“ Don’t sound so shocked..I always thought of you that way.” He said laughing as they all made their way back.
Kame and Koki retired to their tent so they can talk about what caused Koki’s latest relapse.
“ I think it just might be everything that’s going on right now.”, Koki said as he laid there while Kame rubbed his back, “either that or I need my meds adjusted”. They switched positions and Koki done the same for Kame.
“ I can’t believe these two days went by so fast...I don’t want to back to work Monday.” Kame complained and with good reason.
“ I know, baby, but we have no choice” Koki sympathized as he continued to work the kinks out of Kame’s back, neck, and shoulders, “ Look, we don’t have to be at work until Monday afternoon right?”
“ Yeah, why?”
“When we get back, why don’t we save the unpacking for after work, and after showering...let’s spend most of the day in bed so I can make love you to properly, and we can be loud as we want.” He said as he nibbled Kame’s ear, making the younger man arch beneath him.
“ Sure, it would be nice not having to worry about being over heard.” He smiled as he slowly drifted off to sleep, Koki having climbed off of Kame a while ago and snuggled next to him. After Kissing Kame goodnight he snuggled even closer and soon followed his partner into dreamland.

Kame gives him a look....
“ Okay, ALOT possessive..but I love you far too much just to let you alone. But dammit it all anyway, your mine and I am yours and that’s the way its going to stay...whether that bastard likes it or not.”
“ I thought that’s what you meant. You can be possessive over me any time you want or need to, my King. After all, I am the same way when it comes to you since I have waited longer than you for us to be together and I can’t imagine my life without you. You are the best for me and the only one that fits up to my standards and what I look for in a partner.” Kame said as he hugged Koki and whispered in his ear.” Never me let go”
“I have no intention of letting you go, Kazuya. Now, lets head back the others should be done by now.” They get back to the river bank just as the others were getting ready to leave...
“ Oh look, the lost boys return!” Makoto said laughing
“ Oh shut up” Kokame said at the same time and as Kame climbed into the boat and Koki pushed it back into the water. Once everyone was settled they set off for the remainder of the trip down river. Kame was busy taking pictures of everyone and everything, only punctuated by the odd question of “what kind of animal is that” or “ What kind of plant was that” directed in either Koki’s or his brother’s direction. After about twenty minutes of rowing they were at the trips ending destination and they headed back to their campsite for dinner.
Back at the campsite:
“That was fun, wasn’t it Koki?” Kame asked koki at dinner
“ Sure was, we should do this again some time...just the two of us” Koki responded
“ I’d like that” Kame said before his attention was diverted by Makoto and the two starting talking about baseball. Kame was about to tell Makoto about the time he went to the game as one of his and Koki’s dates, when he felt a light tap on his shoulder turning he looked at Koki who said...
“ I am going for a walk, I am starting to feel funny and I don’t want it to show its self in front of everyone...”
“ Want me to come with...just in case...”
“ Its okay, I have to learn to find my way back on my own eventually. But could you come and check on me if I’m not back in twenty minutes?”
Kame, seeing how important this was to his lover just smiled and said, “ yeah sure”, and went back to his conversation. But Makoto had his reservations about what Kame just did.
“ Are you sure its okay to leave him by himself like that?”
“ Not really, but he’s right though. He has to learn to break through the darkness on his own or we’re never going to get him back to where he used to be. I’ll go and check on him if he’s not back when he said he was going to be.”
“ You know his condition and his actions better than I, I’m just worried that’s all.”
“ I know, Makoto, I am too. But this is something he has to do mostly on his own and he needs our support in this.”
“ I know you love him Kame and have for a very long time and don’t get me wrong I like Koki as well...but....”
“But...what?” Kame asked, not liking where this was going.
“ But wouldn’t be better for you and for him to leave him in the hands of those who are better equip to deal with something like this. I mean you can only do so much and with what Miroku’s doing....its only going to make him worse. I over heard Juri talking to their mom about what happened in his tent and from the sound of things..it took longer than usual to bring him around, Kame, I think what Koki needs is to be....”
Kame cut him off...anger now pulsing through his body. He looks his brother in the eyes...
“ So, you want me to turn my back on him? You want me to go back on the promise I made to him 8 months ago and have him committed?”
“ Its what he needs Kame and....”
“ Well, forget it! I am NOT doing that to him, he trusts me to help him and not to turn tail and run, which is what you’re telling me I should do. I am not his asshole of a father, I’m not just going to abandon Koki like that, he means way too much to me and for your information..brother...locking him away won’t make him better. In fact, it will only serve to make his situation, not to mention mine, worse seeing as how my voice and my touch is the only thing he responds to and registers when he relapses.” Kame stormed off to play catch with Juri.
Twenty minutes came and went and koki still hadn’t come back. Kame was just about to go look for him when a high pitched “ Kame! HELP!” rang through the trees. Turning quickly, they saw Chika running at top speed towards them.
“ Chika?! What’s wrong?”
“ Its Hana...and Koki....” she was rambling incoherently
“ Slow down and start from the beginning” it was Juri who spoke first.
“ Well, Hana and I were walking back to the tents after picking flowers for Mrs. Tanaka as a thank you gift. When we just happened upon Koki who was sitting against a tree, just staring and he had a dark look in his eyes. We didn’t know what was wrong with him and...Hana called her cousin’s name to try and get his attention, and I don’t know...its like he didn’t know who she was and I think he may have thought she was someone else. He turned, stood up and uttered something I couldn’t catch and started slowly walking towards us with a murderous look in his eyes, he lunged for Hana and I managed to push her out of the way....”
Kame cut her off....
“ where are they now?” he asked
“ I am not sure....the hot spring..maybe...”
That was all the answer Kame needed and headed off in the direction of their last known whereabouts, with his brother right behind him. As Chika had said that was where Kame and Makoto found Hana running from Koki while Koki was slowly walking behind her like how a deranged killer openly stalks his victim.
“ HANA!! Over here!” Makoto shouted and a very scared and relieved Hanna threw herself into his arms. While Kame made to go to Koki, to save him but he was stopped as Makoto put his hand on his shoulder.
“ Kame, what are you doing?”
“ Face it, I am the only one that can stop him. I am the only that is safe to be around him when he’s like this. He’s never hurt me when he’s in this state and I am going to prove you wrong as well.”
Kame shook himself from his brother’s grip and ran right into Koki and threw his arms around his waist and started whispering in his ear and then waited....and what Makoto saw was nothing short of amazing. He seen Koki slowly relax, his eyes started to clear and as his arms rose to embrace Kame, he hid his face in Kame’s neck and then Makoto realized that there was alot of truth to what Kame had told him. He didn’t know what he was going to say as he made his way over to them except....
“ I am sorry, Kame, it seems that you were right after all. But how did Chika know to come after you specifically when she could have called for anyone of us, since I am sure that she doesn’t know that you’re the only that can bring him around?” he asked.
“ That’s easy, I was the one that told her to run and get Kame specially”, It was Hana who spoke up, “ I was kinda eavesdropping on his and Juri’s conversation the other day and I heard the argument between you and Kamenashi-san. It looks you were right Makoto-san, Koki is too much for Chika to handle.”
“ I am sorry Hana...I didn’t mean to frighten you and thank you for getting Kame for me” Koki said regretfully.
“ Don’t worry about, dear cousin, you’re still my favorite. But there is one thing you have to do though since you did scare me half to death.”
“what’s that?”
“ Work really hard to get better real soon” she said as she hugged him and Koki just smiled.
“ I guess you want me to stay away from your brother now, huh?” Koki asked Makoto, uncertainty and fear were evident in his tone even though he tried to hide it.
“ After what I just saw...no offense but are you nuts? Kame’s not the first one to tell me that he’s the only one that can bring you back, its just that I didn’t really believe it until I had seen it for my very own eyes. Are you doing better now though, my brother?” He asked Koki
“ Yea...yeah..I am fine.” He said, taken aback at how Makoto addressed him.
“ Don’t sound so shocked..I always thought of you that way.” He said laughing as they all made their way back.
Kame and Koki retired to their tent so they can talk about what caused Koki’s latest relapse.
“ I think it just might be everything that’s going on right now.”, Koki said as he laid there while Kame rubbed his back, “either that or I need my meds adjusted”. They switched positions and Koki done the same for Kame.
“ I can’t believe these two days went by so fast...I don’t want to back to work Monday.” Kame complained and with good reason.
“ I know, baby, but we have no choice” Koki sympathized as he continued to work the kinks out of Kame’s back, neck, and shoulders, “ Look, we don’t have to be at work until Monday afternoon right?”
“ Yeah, why?”
“When we get back, why don’t we save the unpacking for after work, and after showering...let’s spend most of the day in bed so I can make love you to properly, and we can be loud as we want.” He said as he nibbled Kame’s ear, making the younger man arch beneath him.
“ Sure, it would be nice not having to worry about being over heard.” He smiled as he slowly drifted off to sleep, Koki having climbed off of Kame a while ago and snuggled next to him. After Kissing Kame goodnight he snuggled even closer and soon followed his partner into dreamland.
