Summary: *avoids like the bubonic plague* This is a sequel the KoKame half of Rescue me, so you may want to read that one first...so you can understand this one better.
Chapter 5 part 2: Miroku makes a move on Kame
The day before their camping trip:
For once Koki and Kame manage to beat Miroku to work. Kame just got done showing Koki the set and explaining what his new drama was about, they were leaning against the wall just holding each other and making out on occasion. Just as they both leaned in for a kiss they heard footsteps and the voice of the one person who they both wish would just go away already since they did what Johnny asked of them and now they’re not obligated to baby sit him anymore.
“ Tanaka-san, just what do you think your doing to Kamenashi-san?” He said...hoping that it just sounded like innocent teasing, which of course it wasn’t...far from it actually. Ignoring him, they went back to what they were doing and Miroku just walked away..chuckling to himself. They only broke apart when the director told the actors to take their places on camera, Koki watched as Kame turned from idol to actor in the space of less than 2.5 seconds. The director yelled cut and as Kame went on to film the next two scenes which Miroku wasn’t in, Miroku took this opportunity to talk to Koki.
“ I know about the ring Tanaka-san and I will get you for that and a few other things as well. Now, shall we work on my lines while I am waiting for MY Kamenashi-san to get done?”
Koki just glared and with a resigned sigh helped the maggot with his lines, right in the middle koki got a phone call from his mom saying that something was wrong with one of his dogs and that he should come and take her to the vet straight away. After sending Kame a text telling him what was going on and why he was leaving so soon ( kame loved to have Koki watch him when he was filming for a new drama). Kame sent him one back saying that he understood and to tell him what was wrong with the poor dog.
“Well, Kamenashi-san..it seems that he’s not as interested in being here as he was a few minutes ago.”
“ I guess so.” was all kame said, clearly distracted by his concern for princess sakura and not paying attention to what he said, but Miroku mis-read the look on Kame’s face.
“I mean he just up and left you like that, I, on the other hand would never do such a terrible and hurtful thing to the one I love.” he looked at kame and caressed his cheek as he said the most untrue words ever spoken about Koki and his hand started to travel down his chest when Kame smacked his hand away and glared at him.
“ Cut that out, Miroku!” Kame said trying to shove the guy off of him. “ Koki! I need you!” he thought desperately as Miroku pushed him further into the wall. Kame was just about to shout when the last two people he ever expected to show up on the set, walked through the door and they weren’t too pleased about what they saw....in fact they were down right pissed about it. Kame heard shouting and hurried footsteps he looked over to see Ueda and Takki rush over.
“ Tatsuya! Takki! A little help here!” Kame shouted
“ Tell that meddling boyfriend of yours and you’ll never see him again.” He whispered threateningly in Kame’s ear before he found himself sprawled on the floor.
“ OI!! What in the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Takki said as he pulled Miroku off of his friend, throwing him to the ground rather painfully.
“ Don’t you know its impolite to touch what clearly doesn’t belong to you!” Ueda growled.
Miroku got gingerly to his feet pocketing Kame’s gift from Koki as he did so, and turned to Ueda and Takki...
“ He doesn’t belong to anyone but me now, he’s not wearing anything like a RING that clearly says otherwise.” as he said this an evil grin spread across his lips.
“ Isnt that right Kamenashi-san?”
“ What are you going on about?” Takki said, anger evident in his eyes and his voice.
Comprehension catching up with all three of them Ueda grabbed Kazu’s hand....
“ Kame! Your ring! Where is it?!” Takki and Ueda said at the same time.
“ I don’t know...I had it on this morning when we left for work and...I had it....up until..he..” He looked shell shocked at Miroku who just smiled at the position kame now found himself. “ How did he take it without me noticing” was his first thought.
“ Give it back, Miroku!” Kame shouted.
“ Nope. sorry can’t do that, Kamenashi-san. I won’t allow you to wear some one else’s declaration when you now belong only to me.” With that he left the set and disappeared before anyone can stop him. When he was gone Kame just sank to his knees and started to cry as Takki put his arms around him and Ueda called the others. After the rest of KT, and Ryo and Pi for good measure, showed up Kame told them ( all but Ueda who went to get Kame’s ring back) exactly what happened and what Miroku said right before Takki yanked him off of the Joker’s turtle.
“ What are you going to do now, Kame?” it was Ryo who spoke first.
“ I have no choice...I have to tell Koki what happened.” Kame said with a million thoughts running through his head and none of them were pleasant.
“ I understand, but Koki’s not exactly all that stable right now and this just might push him over the edge...” Pi said
“ He’s right and without your ring...not even you know how he’s going to react” Jin tried to reason.
“ I know guys, but ring or no ring he deserves the truth and its got to be from me before Miroku can throw it in his face and then we may never see him again.....or worse and its...” at this point Kame stopped talking.
Its not surprising that everyone in the room were beyond shocked since Kame is the only one that knows the full extent how unstable Koki really is, and he knows that if pushed Koki can actually kill someone. Maru was about to ask Kame what he meant when he said “or worse” when Ueda came bursting through the door holding Kame’s ring in his hand. Fortunately, Miroku seems to have dropped it in the grass on his way to his car.
“ Kame...look...put it on....Quickly before Koki gets back..” Ueda held out Kame’s ring for him, shocked as hell, Kame put it back on without any hesitation on his part and launched himself on Ueda..thanking him for getting it back.
“ But how did you...?” they all said.
“ As I was following the guy so I could find out what it is that he’s up too, I noticed something glinting in the grass just as he pulled out of the parking lot. I picked it up and it was Kame’s ring. I even checked to make sure and looked to see if it was engraved on the inside and that’s when I knew I found it.” Ueda explained as Takki and Junno turned their attention to Kame and asked...
“ It is the same ring isn’t it, Kame?”
“ Yep, it is” and began to read what koki had engraved on the inside.
“ But I still don’t think you should tell him, Kazuya” Jin said, “ by the sound of his threat, I’d dare say that Miroku is dead serious about this.”
“ I know that, but I am still going to tell him anyway regardless. I am not going to let Miroku intimidate me in staying away from Koki. I absolutely refuse to give Koki up because of some whack job...”
“ But Kame...”
“ No buts Jin...” it was Takki who spoke, “ Kame’s right, Koki deserves to know and if Kame just gives in to what this guy wants then he’ll be going back on the promise he made to Koki.”
“ Besides, Jin, would you just give in if you and Ueda were in this same situation?” Pi asked
“ No, you’re right, I wouldn’t just give up Tat-chan to some whacked out nut case and go back on the promise I made either...I am sorry for trying to convince you to do the opposite, Kame.”
“ Its alright, I understand. Well, I better get back to work now. I don’t have anymore scenes with that guy until Monday anyway...oh yeah...um, what brought you two over here anyway?” he asked Takki and Ueda.
“ well, I came to watch...to see if your acting has improved over the years.” He said with a teasing tone.
“ I was just following a bad feeling I have been having ever since you told us that Miroku was in this same drama, and I am glad I came by.” Ueda said.
“ Um, thanks guy..I really do need to get back to work but...” here he looks at Takki.
“ I’ll stay and make sure you get home okay” Takki said
“ Thanks, Takki” He said as Takki just ruffled his hair in response as the others left, and that’s exactly what he did.
Back at Kame’s place
After walking in his front door and kicking off his shoes, he goes to look out his window and sees someone standing in the street below..looking up at him and it was starting to freak him out. He immediately grabs his cell and dials Koki’s number, it rings and rings, it keeps ringing for what seems like an eternity before Koki answers his phone.
“ How is Sakura doing?” he asks still keeping an eye out on the mysterious person who was spying on him.
“ She’s fine she just has a minor cold, nothing too serious.”
“That’s good, I am glad she’s alright” He looks out the window again and the panic he felt earlier returned as the mysterious stranger was no where in sight, starting to totally freak out now he runs to lock his front door.
“ KAZUYA!!” Koki shouts through the phone since Kame kinda forgot he was there in his hurry to make sure his door was tightly locked.
“ Oh sorry, Koki...I just...I need...” He started rambling and it couldn’t stop.
“ Kazu, angel, baby..take a breath and calm down, you’re rambling sweetheart.”
Doing as he was told he took a deep breath and finally giving in to the stress and fear of what happened earlier in the day, he started to cry.
“ Koki....I need you here with me, right now..” He managed to choke out through his tears.
“ Kame, what’s the matter?” Koki said on the other end
“ Just get over here...NOW!!” Now koki knew something was really wrong with his boyfriend for him to behave in such a manner, he hung up, grabbed his keys and sped off in the direction of Kame’s apartment..fear griping his heart as he pulled up and ran up the stairs two at a time and ran down the hall, stopping dead in front of Kame’s door, he knocked frantically...
“ Kame, it’s me....Koki, open the door, baby” He called somewhat desperately through the door.
Upon hearing his King on the other side he didn’t so much as ran as he flew to the door, unlocked it and, literally, jumped into Koki’s arms..almost knocking the older guy to the floor and just cried into Koki’s neck...gripping him almost painfully as if he let go of Koki, then he would just disappear.
“ Its okay, baby, I am here now...ssshhh...” He said as he guided a fear and panic stricken Kamenashi back into his living room and sat down on the couch with him. As koki stroked Kame’s head and back, Kame started to calm down a great deal and after clearing his nose, he said..
“ Something happened on the set a few hours after you left....and...” he stopped
“ Go on, tell me what’s wrong, angel.” he said with that reassuring smile that made Kame feel calm when he was stressed, and after a few minutes, Kame told Koki everything that happened.
“ Right before Takki pulled him off of me, he said that if I told you then he would make sure that I never saw you again.”
As Kame’s tale came to an end, Koki remained silent..so silent that it was almost unbearable. With slightly trembling hands Kame lifted Koki’s head so as to get a proper look at him. The only relief was that he could see in Koki’s eyes that he wasn’t in one of his relapse states and he was glad for that.
“ Koki, tell me what you’re thinking...please?” he almost begged
“ That BASTARD!!” He screamed and he gently enclosed Kame into a tight embrace, letting Kame know that he was safe now.
“ I am so sorry that I wasn’t there to protect you as I should have been, kame.” Koki said as wave after wave of guilt racked every fiber of his being.
“ You’re here now and that’s all that matters, honey.” Kame said
“ Will you stay over tonight? Because as I was talking to you on the phone I noticed that someone was watching me from the street below, since i just happened to glance out my window” Koki made to get up and look where Kame had said that he had seen the mystery guy “ He’s gone now, Koki” Kame said
“ Yeah sure, any time you want...I am more than happy to stay with my favorite turtle.” he said as cool as he could as a blush decided to betray him. Feeling safe and secure once more, Kame and Koki made dinner and watched a movie before going to be bed to partake in another bed adventure.

Date: 2011-02-25 12:07 am (UTC)From:It takes a lot of time, patience and dedication to handle someone that is like that and as I am sure you know, in the begining you have to watch what and how you say something. Case in point, the comment Koki made in his letter about Kazu's own fears but never voicing for fear of Koki taking it the wrong the and thinking that Kazu doesn't want to be with him any longer. Not that Kame would ever leave his King, but I would be lying if it the thought didn't cross his mind at times...but there is alot Kame can't do without koki by his side and he loves Koki way too much to let this or miroku cause their relationship to go south.
