Summary: *avoids like the bubonic plague* This is a sequel the KoKame half of Rescue me, so you may want to read that one first...so you can understand this one better
Chapter 14
Its been eleven days, eleven long anxiety filled days and Koki still hasn’t come around yet even though his doctor says he should have shown signs of improvement by now. At Kame’s request the doctors have done every test they could think of and they even checked to see if his wound was healing properly and everything was checking out normal, no one could think of a reason for Koki to still be out the way he is. Poor Kame isn’t fairing much better since he either spends half his days crying and praying for the love of his life to return to him or working himself into exhaustion to the point he passes out. He rarely ever goes out anymore unless its to spend an endless amount of hours by Koki’s bedside in the hope that he will wake upon hearing Kame’s voice as he tells Koki about everything he’s been missing and that’s how Makoto and Koki’s mom find him as they come by to visit.
“ How’s my son doing?” Koki’s mom asks
“ Sti...still no change and its my fault...all my fault. Maybe if I had just done what Miroku wanted....” Kame says as he feels his eyes starting to burn and looks up at her with the most guilt ridden expression anyone’s ever seen as Makoto puts his arm around his brother. Koki’s mother walks over and sits next to Kame and lays her hand on both Kame’s and Koki’s hands, she turns to Kame and gently turns his head so he can look her in the eyes and says....
“ Don’t be afraid my son, he will pull through. He will come back to us...to you. Its not your fault and I could never blame you. If you had done everything opposite of what you did then yes, he would be conscious BUT my son here (she nods at Koki’s unconscious form) would never be the way he was, he would have lost his fight with his condition and not even you would have been able to bring him back. He would have been to lost to all of us forever as would you, am I right Kazuya? My son loves you as he’s never loved anyone before, when you guys were younger ( think nobuta wo produce) he would come home everyday talking about you and your antics. Oh he talked a lot about Yuichi as well but mostly about you. He loves you Kazuya and he always will no matter what.”
“She’s right Kame, listen to her.” Makoto said as Kame started to fiddle with the rings around his neck.
“ Those rings you wear are proof enough considering all the girlfriends he’s had, he’s never once taken a step that huge before. Now why you don’t head home and get some sleep and something to eat and we’ll stay with him and let you know if anything changes while you’re gone.” She finishes as she removes her hand and hugs Kame close to her.
“ Okay and thanks, Mrs. Tanaka. I will, I promise” Kame says as he puts his jacket on and walks towards the door as does just as he was told and it was the first time, in days that he was able to sleep somewhat soundly after being comforted by Koki’s mother.
Five days later Kame gets the call he’s been waiting for, for unbeknownst to him Koki has woken up and start asking for his Turtle...luckily Jin and Ueda were there.
“ Kazu...Kazuya...where are you?” Koki asks.
“ Koki? You’re awake!!" Jin and ueda shout at the same time as Koki looks over still searching desperately for any sign of Kame..
“ Jin? Is that you? Ueda?” Koki asks even though his voice still slightly weak after being out for so long.
“ Yes, Koki...I am here..we both are.” Ueda says as Jin rushes out in the hall to call Kame.
“ Whe...where’s Kame? Is he all right? Is he hurt?”
“He’s at work I expect and he’s fine....well as fine as can be expected anyway. Jin went to call him right now.” Ueda says the doctor walks in.
“ Oh Tanaka-san, you’re awake finally. How do you feel?”
“Alright I guess, though I am in pain.” Koki says.
“Good. Can you move wiggle your toes for me?”
Koki wiggles his toes just as he was asked.
“ Good. Then you don’t have to give up your career. Would you like to sit up? Since your stitches are almost ready to come out.”
“ I would, yes.” Koki says as the doctor lifts his bed so Koki’s not lying flat on his back.
“ How much longer does he have to stay here?” Jin asked, coming back into the room after talking to Kame who was so happy he was speechless and made his way to the hospital and his King as fast he could calling Maru and Junno as he did so to tell them the good news.
“ Another two days at least and then he can go home but I don’t want him doing anything that’s too strenuous for at least another week or so.” The doctor said to the three of them just as Kame came to sudden stop in the door way.....
“ I can’t believe....”
Upon hearing Kame’s voice right behind him the doctor excused himself and left the four of them alone. After checking to make sure he was gone, Jin nodded to Koki who held his arms out in Kame’s direction and without any hesitation Kame ran into the arms of the one he loved the most in this world. God, how he missed the feeling of Koki’s arms around him, that comforting warmth that makes him feel safe and secure....and he started crying again but they were tears of joy this time.
“ You came back to me, my King, I was so scared that I was going to lose you for good. I am sorry, its my fault that this happened.” Kame whispered.
“ Its not your fault, Angel, I did what I had to do. I couldn’t let him kill you, you’re too important to me.” Koki said as he kissed the top of his lover’s hair, while Jin and Ueda just smiled as their friends were reunited once again as Maru and Junno ran in the room, at the same time as Kame climbed in Koki’s hospital bed being careful so as not to pull out the Iv in Koki’s hand, and latched on him rather possessively.
“ Koki! How do you feel?” Junno asked
“ You gave us quite the fright being out for so long” Maru said as relief swept over him.
“ Hey Kame?”
“ Yeah Koki?
“ Where’s the rings at? You’re not wearing yours and mine is gone completely.”
“They’re right here” Kame said as he pulled out the chain he was wearing around his neck. “ I didn’t want anyone taking yours and by having both as close to my heart as possible, wearing them like this was the only way I could get through my days and nights....oh and I kinda sorta hi-jacked your dogs as well...” he finishes, smiling sheepishly at his boyfriend as he takes them off and puts Koki’s ring back on his finger and replaces his as well.
“ When can you leave this place?” Maru asked sitting down next to Koki as Kame reached over and shoved Jin off the bed for trying to get anywhere near Koki...
“Ittaii!! Kame, what was that for?” Jin asked indignantly, while Ueda and Junno gave each other knowing looks and Koki just chuckled.
“ You got too close Koki, that’s why” Maru answered.
“ You’re just as close but he doesn't shove you on the floor”
“ Yeah, well you’re not Maru” Koki said, still chuckling.
“ Maru’s allowed simply because its him” Kame answered and intertwined his fingers with Koki’s.
“ Yeah and now back to my question” Maru said to Koki
“ Just another two days but I can’t do anything strenuous for another week” Koki answered back.
Oh that reminds me....I finally found the perfect place for us.” Kame said and showed Koki the pictures of their new house.
“ Nice find, Kame” Maru said examining the pictures Koki handed to him, before passing them around to the other three.
“ I love it, sugar, when do we move in?”
“ Well, I thought we could do that once you were out, and while you can’t move anything heavy, I figured you could unpack as we five bring the stuff in and direct the movers on where to place the furniture. After you’re completely healed I want to have a house warming party to celebrate properly, sound good?”
“ You’re amazing and yes, it does Kazuya. How in world did I get so lucky to have a partner as wonderful as you?” Koki said and kissed Kame on the lips this time.
In the two days that Koki was still stuck in the hospital, he had visits from not only his family ( namely his mother) but from most of Kame’s family as well. His JE friends and non JE friends also stopped by. But the visit he looked forward to the most was Kame’s.
Two weeks later Kame and Koki were sitting on the couch in their new house watching a movie and Kame asked Koki why he was out for so long.....
“I was trying to fight my way through the darkness that engulfed me while I was under the knife, it was so bad that I couldn’t even hear you this time, even though I could feel your energy. I knew your words would never reach me considering how dark it was, so I had to fight through it on my own and that’s why I didn’t wake up for so long even though I wanted to, desperately. Eventually, I found my way back and I haven’t had a relapse since...at least not for these past two weeks anyway. But my fears are still strong and can still appear at the fore front of my thoughts like they used too but I am getting better at controlling them.” Koki said
“I am happy for you, baby, and see I told you could do it on your own.” Kame said with a wink. “Its late and we have to get up tomorrow as we have a party to throw.” as he led Koki to their bedroom and crawled under the sheets and fell asleep and Kame slept soundly for the first time since he was kidnapped three weeks ago.
The next day
Their house was packed and the happy couple couldn’t be more pleased as they celebrated this next step with those that they cared for and who cared for them. They took pictures, enjoyed good food ( mostly meat filled dishes), good company and watched as Maru and Jin argued with their respective boyfriends about moving in together and as Maru said its not as if him and Jin don’t like the idea - actually they do- its just they don’t think they’re as ready for such a big step as Koki and Kame were. It was two in the morning before every one finally went home, as Koki and Kame finished cleaning up...Kame brought up his time during which he was locked in that damn cage.
“Um...Koki...there’s something I haven’t told you about what I went through during that time I was locked away” Kame said hesitantly
“What’s that?” Koki said as he put the last of the dishes away and turned to face Kame from his position by the kitchen sink.
“ Well he...he...wound up by drugging me just so he could finally get what he wanted from me without me fighting back...”
“ You mean that bastard raped you?!” Koki interrupted feeling his blood starting to boil like water on the stove.
“ Yes, he but he couldn’t get me off as I found out after the drugs had worn off and he started beating me for it. So, I guess my body did fight back in a way.” Kame finished and looked away not being able to look his boyfriend in the eyes, still feeling like he betrayed Koki and cheated on him as well even though he didn’t do it willingly. Koki walks over and lifts Kame’s head...
“ Its okay, baby, its not your fault. You didn’t cheat on me and I don’t feel betrayed by you either. You had no control over his actions so don’t fret over that any more.” Koki said as he plants a kiss on those soft lips he loves so much.
“ I am glad you feel that way since I have never felt like I had a reason to stray and you keep me more than satisfied where that’s concerned, and you’re the only I ever want this body to respond too.” Kame whispers as he kisses Koki deep and strong, pulling away Koki says...
“ How about we go to the bedroom and so that I can do that which Miroku failed at?” He asked, not really expecting a response he undid the belt on Kame’s jeans and shoved his hand down Kame’s pants and wrapped his hand around Kame’s growing erection and slowly started pumping his fist...making the younger man moan and nip at the older one’s adam’s apple.
“I would love too” Kame said breathlessly as Koki let him go and Koki spent the whole night worshiping his treasured Turtle and Kame, once again, was happy to be dominated by the man he will do anything and go anywhere for.

Once I can get an idea for my next one, I can get started on it.
